Along with his partner Jim and the lovely Melfina, Gene must fight his way across the galaxy battling pirates, aliens, and assassins as he attempts to discover the secrets of the Outlaw Star.

Chapters 18-21 were never released in volume form, and only through magazine serialization. As of January 1999 the manga has been on an indefinite hiatus with no update on when it will be continued.

One day, at the base of Mt. Fuji, a "castle" appeared with Youkai pouring out of it. To curb the labour shortage caused by a declining population, the government decided to integrate the Youkai into society; however, this led to rising conflicts between them and humans.

In response, the JSDF, with aims to expand their influence in public security, secretly forms a Youkai penal tactical response force, "Tachikawa Task Force", to execute "tactical solutions" for the various issues born from this new society.

Together with her cybernetically enhanced partner, Raiden, it is up to Angel to stop them.
